Goodbye, friends.

I have made the decision to stop blogging. I no longer enjoy writing on here. I feel stupid writing the more trivial posts and struggle to write the serious ones. It’s simply not good enough to be away for so long, suck up the attention and then leave again. Even your lovely comments do not make me feel the same way anymore. But this is not a sad occasion. Deciding to blog has been one of the best choices I have ever made and I have gained so much from the experience. Blogging has made me finally proud of my writing and has given me so much confidence to continue doing so. I have loved being part of such an incredible and unique community and it makes me so sad to leave, but I believe it to be the right decision. I guess blogging has lost its sparkle for me and I am not one to peruse things that make me unhappy. I do apologize to all of you for my distance and for not providing you with new content, but this is a decision I have been contemplating for a very long time. I just feel it is time to leave this site, instead of trying to drag up a passion that has already left me and stitch the scraps together to create mediocre content that I am not proud of. I will not be deleting my blog, I see no point in that, as I am proud of everything I have created on here and I will leave this site for you and I to enjoy and to gather inspiration from.

YOU CAN STILL READ MY POETRY!!

However you can still read my poetry! I have decided to create an email system where those who ‘sign up’ (for free) can be emailed my latest poetry/short stories etc. The email address is: happyalexpoetry@zoho.com and all you need to do to join the email list is pop your email in the comments below. There is no deadline to do this, so don’t worry if you’re reading this a while after I’ve written this post. The email system will also be a way to communicate.  I will be really grateful for emailed feedback or questions about my writing or yours. I will be keen to help anyone who needs a second opinion or just a chat. I have no idea if anyone will offer to be part of the email system, but I hope this is a good compromise for us both. ALSO PLEASE FEEL FREE TO SEND YOUR OWN POETRY/WRITING TO ME VIA THE EMAIL I WOULD BE SO HAPPY TO RECEIVE IT!

 

So I guess this goodbye for now. I will always respect and value the WordPress community for all its done for me and others. You are all such AMAZING and INSPIRATIONAL people and thank you so much for putting such a huge smile on my face. You have made me a very happy Alex.

      3. Never give up. You are very young make you sure you always do what makes you happy. I hope you don’t mind I shared 2 of your poems on my blog and wrote a blog about you. I also shared those 2 poems on my facebook author page link is https://www.facebook.com/emma01wceltic39/?ref=aymt_homepage_panel you will have to scroll down there to find them and i gave u full credit and i just wanted to get your work ‘out there’ there is a connection in your poem ‘memories’ i wrote in ‘the paris seduction’ where you play death its on my blog. Nothing’s ever certain and I may return to blogging one day, but I definitely need a very long break before I consider doing this again. I will most definitely want your poetry, and I might send you some of mine for critical feedback (because you’re amazing!) You are one of the best people I’ve met on WordPress and you have inspired me so much, both through your poetry as through your lovely comments. You are such a wonderful friend and I don’t want to lose you. But I do understand that sometimes you need to let things go if they don’t bring you happiness.     1. You were one of my main inspirations for setting up the email system. You were always so kind about my work and you gave me the confidence to continue to share it.   25. I’m sorry That blogging is no longer an exciting endeavor for you. In the past days I’ve encountered the same kind of problem. I’m going to continue however but bear in mind all of the bloggers around me and before me for inspiration. Of course you will always be one of them. Your blog has been a wonderful journey for all of us and what counts is what you have already done. You’ll left a beautiful mark on the Internet which has inspired so many. Thank you.

Definitely keep trying to blog, I often go through spots when I feel uninspired, but even if you stop blogging one day always try to look for a new project because you have an amazing talent and you should never stop writing.   27. For some unknown reason it won’t let me load your blog post, which means I can’t read it! But from what I gathered by reading the comments it’s that you’re leaving. We haven’t talked much but I remember being one of the first few people to follow you and I absolutely loved your posts, and then school and IGCSEs came in the way which made it difficult to catch up with everyone.

    It’s such a shame to see you leave wordpress. I started reading your blog ages ago, it has been amazing to see your writing style grow and blossom into something so powerful, clear and literate. Your poetry is amazing too, you have a real talent with words.
